Like most people, I had many influences growing up. My main influencers were my parents, teachers & friends. \n\n
I was taught to get good grades, get a job, get married, have kids, retire, be happy. \n<\/p>\n\n
I didn\u2019t know any better, so that\u2019s what I did. And although it did make me happy in beginning, that happiness started to fade as the years went on. \n<\/p>\n
\nI got a job with the government right out of college. I worked in the computer operations office. I loved it at first. I was learning news things, I was challenged, there was lots of variety, and I was making a great salary for my age.<\/p>\n\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Then, I applied for higher level positions, because when you have a better job title and you make more money, you are more successful, right? As the years went on, I started questioning and contemplating things more.<\/p> What I realized was I was living someone else\u2019s version of success.<\/p> It was about this time that I started investing in real estate and building side businesses.<\/p> This created a lot of extra busyness in my life and I really struggled balancing it all as I was trying my best to be a good dad & husband all the while working a full-time job + managing my side businesses.\u00a0 Wow, that\u2019s a lot, I\u2019m tired just typing all of that \ud83d\ude01<\/p> I enjoyed building businesses much much more than working in a cubicle at the government.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Sooooo\u2026 what did I do? Well\u2026 I bought more houses and built more businesses. Yep, I still had my job too. You can imagine how crazy things got for me.<\/p>\n \nI continued down this path for a couple more years before I finally realized I couldn\u2019t do this anymore.<\/p>\n \nI had a major life decision to make. \n<\/p>\n \nDo I quit my safe and secure high-paying government job so that I can spend more time doing the things that made me happy? And what made this decision even more difficult was that I had 2 daughters which were 1 & 4 at the time. Ah, decisions, decisions. <\/p>\n \nI\u2019m sure you know where this is going\u2026 I decided to take a break from my job. The majority of my friends and family thought I was absolutely crazy. <\/p>\n \nLong story short, I\u2019ve had no regrets, and I\u2019m much much much more happier now. I live a life with greater balance and my work is very fulfilling.<\/p>\n \nSince I\u2019m my own boss, I have much more freedom and flexibility in my days so that I can do more of what makes me feel good. <\/p><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Part of that is looking after myself. Something that I neglected years ago. <\/p>\n\n I\u2019m a big believer that our health is true wealth, so I make it a point to look after my well-being everyday. <\/p>\n\n Life becomes that much more EPIC when you are healthy + doing what you love. <\/p>\n It\u2019s a great combination and I feel everyone deserves this. <\/p>\n I wanted to share this with more people so I created the Epic Living Academy. <\/p>\n\n Through 1-on-1 coaching, group coaching, online programs & retreats, myself, along with other coaches within the Academy, support people in their journey to a more Epic Life and help them realize what\u2019s possible for their health\u2026 and their overall life.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Do more of what you love, and less of what you don\u2019t.<\/p>\n As a Certified Holistic Lifestyle coach, I\u2019ve helped hundreds of people transform their lives.
