I BROKE MY OWN RULES

A couple months back I listened to a Tom Bilyeu interview where he shared about discipline and setting rules for himself.

At the time, I wasn’t being the most disciplined, so I set some rules for myself. Fast forward to now, and here’s how I’ve been doing with them…

 ❌ Get out of bed in less than 10 minutes
  ✅  Make my bed in the morning
  ✅  Keep the top of my dresser clear
  ❌ No social media, email, texting or dating apps from 9pm – 9am
  ✅  No eating after 8pm
  ❌ Limit checking dating apps to no more than 2x daily
I started out strong. I felt great.

Was really disciplined for the 1st month, and then started cheating on my rules. Little by little.

Not all the rules, just a couple of them. Mostly social media, texting & dating apps.

As you know, I’m a coach.

I used to think if I wasn’t perfect in the things I teach, that didn’t make me a good coach.

I know longer believe that.

I’m human. I don’t always get things right.

I am grateful to have friends & other coaches in my life that can nudge me & sometimes give me a hard kick in the ass to get me back to healthy & productive habits.

It’s reset time for me.

This week is all about recommitting to the rules I set for myself. By sharing this with you, it helps to create extra accountability for me. 

What new rules would you like to set for yourself?

Committing is the easy part. Taking action & actually doing it is sometimes the difficult part.
