It’s Monday as I write this. At the beginning of the week, I usually plan out my week, so I thought the topic of time management would be timely today.
It’s also a great segway from a conversation I had with one of my coaching clients last week. We were talking about the long list of to-dos he had. He told me he didn’t have time for it all.
I reminded him of a quote I read in a book…
“It’s not a lack of time, it’s a lack of priorities”
Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Lebron James, You, Me, we all have the same 24 hours in a day.
What separates the Good from the Great is how we prioritize our time.
I’m a dad, I run a coaching business, I’m a real estate investor & I also dedicate a good amount of time living an active + healthy lifestyle + a bunch of other things.
I don’t know about you, but if I don’t have a handle on my priorities & my time, I’m all over the place.
To help you get a handle on the stuff you have on the go, give this a try…
Have a peek at your list of to-dos. Next, prioritize the list in order of importance. What I usually do is put a 1, 2, or 3 beside each task. 1 is a high priority, 2 is medium & 3 is low. Then, when I’m doing up my weekly schedule, I schedule in the high-priority items first.
You gotta make it a priority to make your priorities a priority.
