𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙂𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙

When you are nice to people, they are more likely to be nice to you.

I invest in real estate, and try my best to be a great landlord to my tenants.
Responding to their messages in a timely manner, fixing anything that needs fixing + properly maintaining the property.

In my opinion, those are the basics any good landlord should be doing. There are also ways to go above and beyond which doesn’t have to cost a lot of money or time.

Simple things like…

• Giving a sparkling clean unit when they move-in
• Welcome home card + flowers on the counter
• Send them messages on holidays to wish them a good day with family and friends
• Randomly send them gifts. Maybe a Dairy Queen gift card during the summer. Or gift baskets from Costco for Christmas.
• Offering a good reference when they move-out

The little things make all the difference.

A couple months back I had some good tenants that moved out. One of the tenants works at Great Wolf Lodge. He knew that I had daughters and extended an invite to us to visit him there.

Well… we visited last night, and he treated us like VIP. It was an amazing amazing experience. We spent hours playing video games + mini-putt + virtual reality + laser tag.
