- THIS INSPIRED ME
It’s been pretty cool reflecting on my journey so far.
Knowing that part of my story has already been written, and I get to write the rest of it.
Yesterday I shared a little bit more of my journey with you on how I quit my job and how it created some extra time freedom in my schedule.
Just because I had more time, doesn’t mean I made the best of it. Far from it.
When I worked my office job, I didn’t really have to do a schedule, because my days were pretty much the same everyday.
When I was there, all I could think about was having more time freedom, but when I actually got it, I wasn’t super clear on what to do with it all.
I remember tossing a bunch of things in my calendar. Waaaaaaaay too many things.
My weekly schedule fit on 1 double-sided piece of paper (I’m still old school) which I carry around with me.
Since I was trying to pack everything on to 1 piece of paper, the only way for it to fit was for me to extend the margins and make the font real small.
Putting all those things on my schedule was one thing. Actually getting them all done was another.
By the end of the week frustration set in as I had to keep carrying things over in to the next week. And the next week.
After months of this (yep, it took me awhile), I finally realized I was packing way too much in to my week and I also had a better understanding of how long things took to accomplish.
Now, not only do I schedule less, I prioritize things a lot better and work on the important things first.
I’m a work in progress, but I’m definitely improving.
One that you will never get back. Use it wisely.
I recently did up a video on scheduling.
If you want to get a better handle of your day, comment down below with a thumbs up, and I’ll fire it over to you
