ver the weekend, I listened to a podcast with Mike Winkelmann on it.
Who the heck is Mike Winkelmann you ask?
I actually did not know that was his name.
Mike, otherwise known as Beeple, is a digital artist that sold a piece of his digital art NFT at Christie’s Auction House for over $69 million in early 2021.
$69 million? Whaaaaaaat?
The name of the piece is called Everydays: The First 5000 Days.
Waaaaay back on May 1st, 2007, Beeple committed a daily project of producing art everyday.
He liked doing art, and he wanted to get better, so his logic was, the more time he spent on it, the better he would get.
Fast forward 14 years later, and he had created over 5000 pieces of art.
He combined the 5000 pieces of art which became Everydays.
Some cool takeaways from this:
> Things take time. Practice patience > Overnight successes sometimes take 14+ years > To get better at something takes work > Consistency is key > Small wins add up to big wins > Timing & luck are also important
We are all works in progress.

I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been very positive & optimistic. As a young boy, I was a dreamer, a doer and excited for life! I remember growing up, before any big test at school, or soccer game, my mom would always remind me to Do My Best! I’m a wee bit of a perfectionist because of that. And, today, I’m still all of those things, but now a man, driven, dedicated and committed to living a life on my own terms.
